While surfing the web recently, I saw a website which had an interesting article that provided health tips and showed you how to help prevent gum disease. They provided an amazing piece of fact in that gum disease affects 80% of the population. You know something? It was like the statistic was arrived at simply by looking at my patient record book.

Here is a picture of the lovely Jennifer Love Hewitt. She tried to get a break in the entertainment industry by moving to LA to make it as a singer. Instead, though, her path took a different route and she became an actress. For me, I think she made the right choice in the end. However, she can still sing and has released a few albums.

She was interviewed recently and it was amazing to see that she doesn't know how to ride a bicycle and still keeps falling off. Can you believe that? I have never met her, neither have I worked on her teeth her, but it doesn't mean I don't think she's pretty and she is fortunate enough to have a dazzling smile.

Don't discount the possibility that even Jennifer has gum disease, although it is not something we would ever know.@str(loc1) dentist ALO-004460.jpg

The main thing about healthy gums is that they will not be disturbed by your toothbrush and won't bleed. They should look pink but make sure they are not swollen. Healthy gums should also be nice and firm. I monitor how deep a patient's gum pockets are. The state of your gum pockets will tell me how bad is the gum disease and which direction it is going. One problem with gum pockets is they don't go back up after forming but hopefully they don't get deeper. Bone loss from the jaw will cause gum pockets and it gets to a stage where the teeth don't have the right amount of jaw bone for teeth to implant themselves. As a result, the roots have nothing to fix on to and because of this gradual erosion of bone people who don't address the problem start to lose their teeth when they reach the latter stages of their life.

I may be a dentist but I still have faith in anything that can make your teeth healthy and stop you from the trials of visiting the dentist's clnic.

If you take care of your teeth properly at home, that can make your teeth very healthy. And there are occasions when people will come to me and go through a special cleaning process that can boost their chances of keeping their teeth in good condition.

It is not only famous movie stars like Jennifer Love Hewitt who need to gain healthy teeth with my Detroit gum disease treatment. Don't worry about your status. It would be my pleasure to offer my services to you even if you are not from the Hollywood elite. As far as I am concerned, all my patients are celebrities.
