Life is full of decisions. When we are forced to make a commitment, we must choose which direction to take. On some roads, we can see our destination. For others, we do not know where it will lead. Westland dentist Fotolia_6452934_XS.jpg

But if you choose the road that leads to my Westland dental office, you can be confident that there are no secrets. As your dentist, I will let you in on everything. I will make sure you know the work we do for you, why it is good and any negative aspects. Nothing we do we won't tell you about. You'll understand everything about the operation well ahead of time.

You will constantly find me doing restoration procedures at our Westland implant dentist office as well as replacing lost teeth. The initial step of the procedure calls for an artificial root to be put in. This is drilled into the jaw bone. You should imagine the root as a kind of prosthetic, because your bone will grow so that it can clamp on to the root. You won't know the difference between what we've put in and a genuine root. The crown goes in next. You can be sure it will be the exact likeness of your other healthy teeth.

When the implant goes in, I won't go overboard. I won't agitate the healthy teeth near the one I'm working on. I will leave them alone. By taking extra care, your healthy teeth won't weaken during our work.

The good thing about Westland dentist implants is how different they are to dentures. I can assure you they are safe in your mouth and won't grind your gums. Your gums will stay healthy and are safe from being torn up, which is what may happen when you wear dentures. What you want is pink-colored gums. Also, if the gums line up over the jaw bone, this can have a positive effect on your teeth.

While I'm installing your implant, I'm always concerned about infection. I would again take a very conservative approach. If I don't think you are a qualified candidate, I won't do an implant. Your safety is very important. Once we are ready, you will undergo surgery and we will arrange for post-op visits. You need to come back so we can guarantee that everything goes like clockwork. There is no such thing as goodbye in my office. Even after your implant has been fitted, I won't abandon you. I will continue looking out for you to make sure you are okay. I will never ignore your requests for help because that's my role as a Westland implant dentist.
