Westland Dental Implants - A Long-term Solution
For those who need implants, before we do anything else, I spend some time exploring their gums. I have to guarantee that they are in good physical shape. If they're not, I have to get them into shape before going any further.
When the gums are just bleeding a little bit, then we can solve the problem with a pill or two. But if there is a lot of gum eroded or removed, or if you have major problems with your jaw, we may have to take other measures before you can get your implants.
>From time to time I use bones or bone prosthetics to make the mounting location for the Westland dental implant root all set to receive it. Foundation stability is very important prior to the implant procedure. It's just like when building a house. The foundation is always checked to make sure that it is strong and can bear up well under stress.
After we've completed any necessary repairs to the jaw, then we'll begin to fasten the implant roots. Here in my Westland implant dentistry center, this point of the implant process is handled with a lot of care. That's because the outcome of this phase will determine how secure the implant will be.
My patients schedule a follow up appointment for every once in a while, in order to see if the jawbone is going to refuse to keep the implant in place. Using resonance frequency analysis, palpation or x-rays will help me know if the implant is taking root. Then we will know if it's time to go to the next step where we put in the crown attachment or if it will take some more time to shore up the base.
When you take a trip to my Westland dental implant office, I will be very thorough right out of the gate. I am careful to ensure that what I provide and the dental implants you receive will stick around for a long time.
